Taylor Downing is a historian and writer whose best selling books include works on the First and Second World Wars and the Cold War. Taylor also writes on the history of film and television.

Battle Stations with Andrew Johnston (Pen and Sword, 2000) the book to accompany the television series of the same name.

 

Civil War with Maggie Millman (Collins & Brown 1991) the book to accompany the Channel 4 television series of the civil war that divided British society in the mid 17th century
